About
Dr. Jessica Taaffe is a biomedical scientist and global health expert with over 20 years of experience spanning infectious disease research, vaccine R&D, and global health policy. Her work has focused on influenza, HIV, and emerging pandemic threats, with an emphasis on translating scientific evidence into strategy, policy, and public health impact.
She has worked with leading global health organizations, including the World Health Organization, the World Bank, and UNAIDS, contributing to research, global consultations, and policy development. Her experience bridges scientific analysis, program strategy, and stakeholder engagement across academic, governmental, and international settings.
Reflecting a Renaissance-inspired approach, Dr. Taaffe’s work extends beyond technical expertise to include communication, mentorship, and public engagement—bringing a broader perspective shaped by the humanities and public-facing work.
