STEMHer South Africa: STEM Outreach and Digital Engagement
Overview
Designed and led a grant-funded STEM outreach initiative to expand access to STEM career pathways for girls from underserved communities in South Africa. The program combined digital content and live virtual engagement, leveraging social media platforms to connect participants with African women in STEM and increase awareness of diverse STEM career opportunities.

Project lead and co-developer responsible for program design, partnership coordination, content development, and delivery of a multi-platform outreach initiative in collaboration with local partners and STEM networks in South Africa.

• Secured funding and co-developed a multi-phase STEM outreach program centered on video content, webinars, and social media engagement to reach girls interested in STEM
• Produced and curated video interviews and live discussions featuring African women in STEM, highlighting diverse career pathways and role models
• Designed and implemented a social media strategy using YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram to disseminate content, including short-form interview clips and event promotion
• Coordinated partnerships with local organizations and networks to support program implementation, participant recruitment, and community engagement
